This is evident from the section 2.3.4 from the Childrens Act that enables parents to accompany their children during school hours and professionals are suppose to keep their eyes on children who are missing at schools, are never enrolled or one who has not attended school for a while (LSCB, procedure). This, the professionals are supposed to do in collaboration with the childs family according to section 3 of the procedures manual (LSCB, procedures). This indicates that the first partners in partnership working with the Government are the parents as they play a central role in their childrens protection and welfare a nd should therefore be involved, wherever possible, in all decisions and actions relating to them.
